The Smoky Hill, Santa Fe and Chisholm Trails intersect near the heart of our territory, and we at Agri Trails never lose sight of the optimism and hope these trails provided for so many of our ancestors.
We approach each day with this same spirit, knowing that hard work and an unwavering commitment to the task at hand will ultimately yield rewarding results for our customers, communities and employees.
Founded For A Promising Future
Agri Trails Coop is a farmer-owned cooperative serving the needs of our producers. We formed on March 1, 2016 when three financially sound cooperatives (Agri Producers Inc., Alida Pearl, North Central Kansas Cooperative) came together to better serve our patrons.
This merger was overwhelmingly approved because it made good sense for a number of reasons:
- - Geographically, we perfectly fit together.
- - We were all small co-ops, and we felt the three of us together could offer more to our producers than individually.
- - We all had similar ideas and cultures.
- - We all offered similar services.
Our roots in our communities go back decades and looking to the future we are committed to continually improving how we work together across our trade territory. By doing so, we’ll realize the full potential of what Agri Trails can be for its member owners across the 11 counties we serve.

Gregg Beemer has lived on a farm in the Navarre community all his life. He and his wife Joleen manage a grain and cow-calf operation. Before converting to a beef operation in 2012, Gregg operated a dairy along with his dad for 32 years.
Gregg is currently the chairman for the ATC board. He is a firm believer and supporter in the cooperative system. He feels the present formation of ATC will be a benefit to producers, as well as help our company keep pace with the changing technologies and economic challenges in agriculture today.
Heath Gfeller lives in rural Chapman with his wife Stephanie and their two children Clara and Gracen. They spend most of their time doing activities with the kids, who enjoy 4-H, music, and tennis.
He currently farms with his father and grandfather. Their operation includes cattle, corn, soybeans, milo and wheat. Heath has been farming since he was in high school and after completing trades program decided to make farming his career.
When asked why he would like to serve on the board he replied “Serving on the board provides the opportunity to be part of keeping ATC a solid, forward-focused Coop. Many members, including myself, rely on the ACT’s services.
After college, Kevin was an Ag Lender for two years and then worked for Agri Trails Coop in the Tampa and Carlton are for nine years. But now farm full time
Kevin believes some great opportunities for Agri Trials include employment of local individuals and specialists in animal nutrition, agronomy, marketing and energy. He’s a big supporter of his local economies and small rural towns
Francis Jirak and his wife Mary live and farm southeast of Tampa. Francis presently has a small cow/calf operation and produces wheat, soybeans, and hay, enjoying all that life on the farm has to offer. He strives to instill that appreciation for farm life into his 5 children, their spouses and 25 grandchildren.
Francis takes great pride in serving the patrons of Agri Trails Coop as a board member. He presently serves on the board for Co-Ag Propane as the Agri Trails Coop representative. He says productive additions and improvements have proven beneficial for the Coop and continue to compete with the ever-growing Coops surrounding us.
Mark J. Miller lives north of Chapman in the Upland community with his wife Pamela, children Wyatt who is studying to be a John Deere technician, Hanna & Newt. They are all involved in 4-H and church.
Mark is a fifth-generation farmer and with his father manages a cow-calf operation, raises wheat, milo, and soybeans. He has been farming his whole life and has experience in various jobs off the farm as a factory worker, center pivot setup, rebuilding hog buildings, fence building, pasture clearing, machinist helper, truck driver, commercial logger, and blade operator.
As a board of director for Agri Trails, Mark wants to help continue the great level of excellent service the Coop is already providing to its members. The opportunities for the coop he feels is to bring an even higher level of service to its members.
Dan believes some opportunities for our Coop is that we have great flexibility in marketing and buying power and a great Management Team and staff, which will aide us in providing more services while remaining competitive.
Terry Reiff and his family live on the Reiff family farm south of Abilene. When not attending the kid’s activities he is busy on the farm, which consists of grain production, backgrounding cattle along with a cow/calf operation.
He has served on the Agri Trials Coop board since the consolidation and previously on the NCKC board for several years. Terry takes pride in serving on the ATC board and wishes to continue to represent all the Agri Trail’s patrons and members and provide products and services to meet their needs. He wants to continue to explore all opportunities that make the cooperative profitable.
Loren has been a member of the Agri Trails Coop board since the consolidation. He feels that ATC is a progressive Coop with excellent management and staff. He supports continuing to update all areas of the operation, to help build a infrastructure that provides timely service at harvest for all customers.
Kenny Stroda lives in northwest of Ramona, KS with his wife Lisa. They have two sons, Seth and Joseph, who live in Hope, KS and South of Ramona, KS. Kenny has lived and farmed in the Ramona area his whole life and both his sons are part of their farming operations now. Their farming operation consists of crops and cattle. The crops include wheat, corns, soybeans, hay and the cattle operation is primarily stockers to finish.
Kenny has been a Coop board member no and off for 18 years. He feels the size of ATC gives us the opportunities to build facilities and services that will benefit our patrons, while keeping us competitive, but yet able to serve the producer individually.

From national organizations like FFA and 4H to individual community celebrations, Agri Trails is proud to support a wide range of community events and organizations throughout our territory.
Agri Trails Team up with K-State Research & Extension to educate youth
This summer Agri Trails teamed up with K-State Research and Extension and hosted two youth events. One was at our main office in Hope and the other at our Tampa location. All school aged kids were welcomed to attend these events and learn more about different types of the agricultural industry. The programs were about gardening and Kansas corn. Kids got to do different activates with the help of our local K-State Research & Extension.

Gypsum Customer Appreciation Mountain Oyster Fry
Gypsum, KS – Every year on the Friday before Christmas, our Gypsum location hosts their annual Customer Appreciate Mountain Oyster Fry. Gypsum has been hosting this event since 1995. It is open to all ATC customers! There’s plenty more food options than just Mountain Oysters. From chili and lil smokies to chips and dip, don’t forget about the table full of desserts as well, we can promise you won’t go home hungry!
Washunga Days
Council Grove, KS – Every year during Washunga Days Agri Trails Coop participates in “Touch A Truck”. This is an activity through Kansas Farm Bureau where kids of all ages can get up close (safely) with big equipment and learn more about agriculture! ATC also provides corn every year for the corn pit that children are welcome to play in at the “Touch A Truck” booth.

We had the Dickinson County CEO Program visit Agri Trails. In this program, students are immersed in real-life learning experiences and visit different businesses in the community. We enjoyed showing students how our cooperation works.
