June Stocks and Acreage Report
Corn
Corn Stocks came in at 4.644 bil bu, very close to the average trade guess. The USDA pegged acres at 95.2 mil, slightly lower than the March intention figure.
Soybeans
Soybean stocks came in higher than the average trade guess by 28 mln bushels. Acres were slightly lower than the March intention number, coming in at 83.38 mln.
Wheat
All wheat stocks came in around 15 mln bushels higher than the average trade guess.
Bottom Line
While this report is historically a market mover, the USDA did not give much of a surprise today. Very muted price action following the release. Back to watching weather, headlines, and demand.
